13 Week Update! Hellooo Second Trimester :)

This week was Billy's 28th birthday. We celebrated by going to one of his favorite restaurants, P.J. Clarks in the new part of the Forum Shops at Caesars. If you are looking for a great steak- go there! It's so good. :) Mom, Marco and I got him a new BBQ for his house so cookouts over there this summer should be lots of fun. It should be delivered soon!

I can not even express how excited I am to be starting the second trimester! I am so looking forward to having more energy. Overall, I can't really complain because I have felt so good, but I am hoping these random symptoms disappear for the second trimester.

How far along? 13 weeks
Total weight gain: This week up 1/2lb. First trimester tally: Started at 106.4, ended at 110.9. Total gain of 4.5lbs. Not bad for the first trimester!
Maternity clothes? No, but I have had to bust out the Belly Band a few times for my bloaty tummy to make it more comfy.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I have been sleeping more soundly. I'm so darn tired though that this doesn't surprise me at all. I have had a few super vivid dreams this week...some more weird than others.
Best moment of the week: Billy's 28th birthday!
Miss anything? I wanted my steak med-rare and had to get it well done so that was sad.
Movement: Not yet
Food cravings: This week it's been cherry tomatoes. I eat them with baby carrots every day for a snack.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Gender: We find out in a dew weeks! Sometimes I think boy and sometimes girl. No real 'feeling' either way.
Symptoms: Pretty much the same they've been for the last few weeks; bloated, sore boobs, tired beyond belief, some backaches on the lower left side, hernia.
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding rings on or off: On
Labor Signs: No
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Our 14 week appointment, getting a permanent belly, knowing the gender, getting the nursery ready!

12 Week update!

I am a bit frustrated this week. I feel like I am single handedly keeping Urgent Care and the ER's in business. Maybe this is my penance for no morning sickness...just kidding.  Friday brought yet another trip to Urgent Care. While at work in the late afternoon I stretched backwards, arching my back. I do this a lot- I'm bloated. :) This time though I noticed something strange...there was a large lump above my bellybutton that went all the way to the bottom of my ribs. It was so weird. It didn't hurt, but it was raised in the middle and created this kind of 'tent-like' shape on my stomach.  Well, one thing was for sure- my uterus is not located in that part of my body so what the hell was this?  I went to Urgent Care and it turns out I have a mid-line (or epigastric) hernia. Fabulous. The doctor there said not to lift anything heavy and try to keep the pressure in my stomach down. I have been permanently bloated for the last two months so that is not helping. He told me to take Colace and follow up with my OB as soon as possible.

I went to the OB on Monday afternoon. He said that as long as we keep an eye on it and it's not symptomatic we'll leave it alone. They would look to repair it when we're totally done having kids. For now, no heavy lifting and if it starts to become painful and I'm vomiting I need to go to the ER. Once my uterus moves up into my abdominal cavity it will move all the organs out of the way anyway so my intestines should go back where they belong. There's nothing on my uterus that can squeeze through, so I should be ok. It also should not affect the delivery. Phew! Add this one to the books. I have the most random first trimester symptoms!

This weekend my cousin Christy was in town. It was so nice to spend some time with her. We went over to my cousin Teri's for a BBQ. We took a poll using pink and blue peeps to see who thought we were going to have a boy or a girl. I'm holding up two pink peeps because one is Christy's vote- she took the picture! :) Thanks for the great idea, Christy, that was a lot of fun! Coltyn (the baby in the back) picked a blue peep, too! He was just more excited to taste it than hold it up, lol. :)

I'm sure this means it will be a boy! lol :)

Baby's First Picture, The Announcement and 11 Week Update!

We went for our follow up ultrasound this week to check on the bleed and everything is looking good! It hasn't gotten any bigger, thank goodness. I'm still on pelvic rest and need to take it easy. We were 10w4d at the appointment but measuring a day ahead. Still on track for our November 2nd due date! Here are a few of Baby Angioni's first pictures! He/she is a little wiggler. :)

Marco's 30th birthday was April 12th and we spent the first half of the day in the ER again because I had another atypical (complicated) migraine. They did a CT scan and my noggin is fine- no stroke, bleeds, etc. :) For some reason these migraines like to leave one side of my body numb or take away my speech...hopefully I can keep my stress level down and these will subside. Not much fun at all.

For his birthday, we had a little party for him at the house on Saturday. Once we got the green light at the ultrasound earlier in the week, Marco wanted to share the news with our family and friends at his party. I thought that was a great idea! We shared the news when Marco cut the cake and it was really nice to see how happy everyone else was. This baby will be very loved!

We also shared the news on Facebook as well. Bella is very excited to be a big sister and since she is such a big part of our lives I wanted her to be part of our announcement.  Here is the picture we shared to tell everyone! :)

Easter and 10 Week Update

Marco and I were both sick with a stomach virus the week leading up to Easter. That was not very enjoyable. The day itself was a lot of fun. We had brunch with Marco's parents, then dinner with my mom and brother. Bella wore her Easter dress (aka her only pink dress) and we had a great time!  Baby Angioni got his/her first Easter basket from Grandma! My mom picked out a ton of great books and included a little musical giraffe. The basket was beautiful and I can't wait to read these to baby!

Baby's first Easter basket!
