Baby #2: 22 Week Update and Springs Preserve / The Farm

We had such a fun time with Gianna this week and took her on some new adventures. We visited the Springs Preserve and she had so much fun. She got to pet some animals, decorate cookies and see all the fun Halloween decorations. She loved the dancing pumpkins and was dancing right along with them. Get ready for picture overload!

She got to decorate her own cookie and did great! She was so careful with her sprinkles, it was really cute! She didn't really take more than a few little bites of it.

She did, however, try mini marshmallows for the first time and those were a big hit! She liked them much better than her cookie! :)

She was such a sweet girl and shared some marshmallows with Daddy. When it came down to it, though, she needed to take a few on the road with us. She ended up with one little mini marshmallow in each hand and just held them on the way back to the car. It was like she was saving them. She ate them when we got in the car.

We also visited The Farm, which is right across from the orchard near our house. We had been there one time before (prior to having G) but went this time for their fall harvest festival. We had no idea just how big this place really is! There were cows, horses, pigs, chickens, rabbits, peacocks and turtles. It was a lot of fun!

Gianna picked out her favorite gourd and carried it around with us for a while. I finally got her to put it down once the animals had her attention.

Looks like we need to have at least two more kids, right Marco? That way we can fill up all the holes with little faces! Ha ha ha!

She wasn't really too sure about petting the animals herself. She liked looking at the huge rabbit and desert tortoise but had more fun following them around than actually petting them.

Her favorite part of the farm was the train ride she went on! She loves trains and was so excited! It was cute. She sat like such a big girl and Marco and I walked along side her as it went around the farm.

22 Week update!

We had a doctor appointment this week and my OB gave me a few options to consider. Well, actually she gave me two options. I can choose to schedule a repeat c-section at 39 weeks or, if I want to attempt a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarian) then I can do that but they will not allow me to go past my due date. If I choose to pursue a VBAC, then my c-section would be schedule for my due date (40 weeks) and if I go into labor on my own before then, great.  I have until 28 weeks to decide and schedule but I can change my mind later.

I really want to have a VBAC. My c-section recovery was miserable, more painful than I could have expected and I really resented the fact that over 24 hours of labor resulted in a c-section. The plan is to schedule a c-section for 40 weeks and pray I go into labor on my own before then. They will not induce me.  I am also being realistic though and know that we will be closely monitored at the High Risk Pregnancy Center for fluid issues and another 9+ pound baby. If we are on track for a similar experience, then I can change my mind and say let's just do this at 39 weeks. So far, things are pretty similar up to this point.

Baby #2: 21 Weeks and Fun at Mt. Charleston

We have been enjoying the fall weather and taking advantage of some fun events in and around Las Vegas. We took Gianna up to Mount Charleston on Saturday for their fall harvest festival and she had so much fun! The mountains are so pretty and it's hard to believe this is just minutes from Las Vegas.

Gianna was obsessed with climbing up this hill!  They're between the tre

I zoomed in as far as I could for this picture!

There was a big pit where you could roast hot dogs on a stick!

This girl just loves being outside!!!

Family selfie!

Loving all the fresh mountain air!!!

On a funny note, one of G's new favorite things is taking her shoes off so you can smell her feet. She sticks her little foot up in my face and says (no, demands) "smell it, mommy". Then when you tell her how stinky it is, she cracks up laughing and insists you smell it again. I can't wait for her to have a little brother.....lol!

This was the only "belly pic" I got for 21 weeks! Oopsie!

Baby #2: 20 Weeks! Anatomy Scan and Pictures

I can't believe we hit the halfway mark. This pregnancy is flying by! Our visit to the High Risk Pregnancy Center for our anatomy scan brought great news. Baby Marco is right on track (weighing in at 12oz) and everything looks great. We even got the extra treat of getting a sneak peak in 3D! I'm so thankful everything is exactly how it should be at this point. Check out my handsome boy!

Yeah- that's a boy alright
We don't have a 3D pic of Gianna at this gestational age but so far I would say he doesn't look too much like big sis. Only time will tell!
